Creation of “Susi’s German Goodies”

It was 2020, the Corona period.

Roland and me were in St. Lucia for 3 weeks.
We were “allowed” to stay in a Corona Hotel for the first two weeks, it was named Bay Garden in Rodney Bay for this time.

After we got a health certificate, we went to Choiseul...our real place

And then suddenly the shutdown came, nothing worked anymore. Our flights were without declaration canceled, we were stuck on the island.
Thank God we had our accommodation secure indefinitely.
So now we had all the time in the world. We decided at that moment
to spend our time in “old age” in St. Lucia.
However, neither of us are people who just live day to day.
We want to do something meaningful and then our brainstorming began.
Strangely, Roland and I had the same thoughts.
....Bratwurst....
We know, I know from experience in New Zealand and Switzerland, that we have the most
As Germans abroad, we miss good bread and sausage.
And so our planning began and it really took almost 2.5 years.
First we wanted the sausages from an original Thuringian factory
Germany import that worked because of the St. Lucia laws and
Unfortunately, there are no rules from the Ministry of Agriculture.
By chance and recommendation we met our current butcher, Franck
know a French butcher on the island.
We sat down together and found an ingenious solution.
We now produce the bratwursts according to the original German recipe
original, imported spices from Germany on the island.
We are the first and only to produce German sausages in St. Lucia

and

we are very, very proud of it!
